Look local for quality sheds

Dominic and Lorna Spora’s Castlereagh Concrete and Sheds have been the sole local distributor for Fairdinkum Sheds for the past 18 years, servicing an area from Gilgandra to Lightning Ridge and beyond.

According to Lorna the $20,000 immediate tax write-off has spurred people to organise their shed needs for the coming year.

The benefit of choosing Castlereagh Concrete and Sheds is that you are supporting a locally-owned business who employ other locals to construct your shed from the ground up.

Ben Ryan of BLR Building has been erecting the sheds from day one.

“He’s so good,” says Lorna. “And this is a family with five boys living in the Gulargambone area. Ben does a great job and the people who buy the shed know what they’re getting and who to go to if there are any problems.”

“You might get a cheaper shed from a company on the coast who imports Chinese products. We use all Australian steel and we guarantee our work.”

We’re not greedy with our mark-ups so we’ve sold a lot of sheds over the past 18 years. I suppose that’s why we’re still here.”

“Our first job was the pavilion at Coonamble Showground, Luke Crawford erected the shed but it’s one of ours” said Lorna. “We helped design that and we’re still very proud of it.”

“Our most recent shed was a new funeral parlour purchased by the Miners Association in Lightning Ridge.” Lorna says “Coonamble and Gilgandra shires have been very good at keeping their business local. Our advantage is that we can do the whole job from the concreting to erecting the building.
